Why buy from us?
1) We are conservative in our grading. We realize that many sellers on Ebay overgrade their records, tapes, and vacuum tubes. However we offer accurate grading.
2) We carefully and professionally pack and ship your items. We also include at no extra charge a clear poly record protector cover and remove the inner sleeve with the vinyl in it to prevent damage in transit.
3) No returns on sealed records. It doesn't matter if it has a warp, wrong tracks, is defective, scratched, wrong labels, you roll the dice and take your chances when you open a sealed record. The reason is simple - most of the value of a sealed record is in the fact that it is sealed. We are a small mom and pop operation and cannot recoup our funds when a sealed record is opened and then returned. If you are really picky about your vinyl please do not bid on a sealed record. Your bid is proof that you understand and will abide by this policy - A sealed record once opened cannot be returned. No exceptions - period, paragraph, the end! OK! You are looking at an authentic, original, and highly desirable vinyl Lp still sealed record album on quality vinyl at 33 1/3 rpm. You are looking at an original still sealed copy of a rare and hard to find record by the great label Water Lily Acoustics. This one is Saudades and features the phenomenally talented percussionist Dom Um Romao. Recorded by the very gifted Kavichandran Alexander these Water Lily Acoustics rival anything ever put down in the grooves of vinyl period, paragraph, the end. End of story - please do not miss out on this fabulous, rare, and still sealed record from Water Lily Acoustics. This one was at one time on HP's TAS list and is on Arthur Salvatore's Divinity list. "SAUDADES is an original, factory sealed, rare, excellent music content, NOT JUST ANOTHER audiophile LP. There is a worldwide demand for this LP. Finally, collectors have discovered this obscure but AMAZING title.
This music is an interesting and unique blend of Afro-Brazilian and Afro-American funky rythms. It has percussion, horns and vocals, plus some Brazilian instruments. Because of my inability to characterize the music in any type of "conventional category", plus its sound quality, I had to create a special category for it to receive its proper recognition: Audiophile Funky Brazilian? This LP was recorded during the time Dom Um Romao was playing with Weather Report.
The sound on this record is absolutely breathtaking in its immediacy and dynamic qualities. It is natural and has a "large sound". It also has a very low sound-floor, and with plenty of inner and outer detail. The LP was recorded and released in 1992, and it has been out of print for more than 15 years. We were lucky to find a few original pressings since the producers wanted it to use only one stamper, and one step plating process, for all LPs. It can not be a reissue...it will not sound the same.
The LP is one of those monster audiophile LPs that made it into a few of the "experts" lists; besides the outstanding sound, and being amazingly musical, the LP showcases the performances of Dom Um Romao, Chico Freeman. and other exceptional Jazz and Brazilian musicians.What a shame and a tragedy that most labels no longer make LPs. Considering that even this dynamite record never received the proper reviews and the esteem that it deserved, is that surprising? Needles to say, this recording is ultra rare...try to find a copy on LP or CD."
