Description
This album is by Country and Western singer-guitarist Waylon Jennings. Entitled "Waylon Jennings At JD"S",it was released in mono on Bat records 1001 in 1964. There were only 500 of these pressed and was produced when Waylon was a nightly fixture at the Tempe,Arizona hotspot. Songs are lively with the band belting out such classics as "White Lightnin'","Dream Baby","Money","Crying",Big Mamou" and a wild version of Buddy Holly's "It's So Easy".This is no doubt one of the best private label lps' of all-time and is the holy grail of Waylon items. It was later pressed on Sounds Ltd. which was also owned by Jim Musil. Vinyl has a fabulous shine and some light scuffs and I would safely grade it a a solid vg+. Cover is in great shape and I would grade it at vg++ with a few areas of very light soiling on the back and one edge with minor fraying. Front picture of Jennings looks great and the borders are all intact with no splits. I will start off with a higher than usual minimum due to its' rarity and fine shape. Money back guarantee if not completely satisfied. Buyer pays for shipping and handling.
