Description
RARE We Are Scientists and The Whigs split 7"er record from 2008. This was never for sale, on Astralwerks/Virgin & ATO Records, and is a US release only. I believe this was to ge given away with the purchase of either The Whigs or We Are Scientists albums, but these were really never distributed, and are one of the rarer items by either band. The sleeve was signed by Chris and Keith of WAS earlier in the week in Ann Arbor, right as thet were setting up for sound check, signatures are perfect, no smears (see pic). The sleeve and record are both brand new shape, no crease tears, or damage to the sleeve (except the black sharpie) and the record is new unplayed. Included is an ad from the club (folded), and the record was signed in front of me.
I let the band know I was going to put this up for auction on ebay, and that all 100% of the profits (after the ebay and paypal fees) will go to the "Ally Cat Project" in the Cleveland Waterloo Arts District, which is a group of excellent people associated with Blue Arrow Records on the East side of Cleveland, that provide medical attention, food, and help find homes to abandoned and feral cats, and spay/neuter cats to control the population. Any questions please just ask. Postage in the US will be $3.50, everywhere else $5.50, and record will be seperated from the signed sleeve (to avoid any seam splits)and put in a poly lined seperate white 7" sleeve, and the record will be in a plastic sleeve as well. These will be send in a hard 200 lb cardboard 7"er record mailer from bags unlimited, with an extra cardboard stiffner for the more support. Italy, Mexico, and South America will have to add $11.50, for insured signed for tracking, sorry but blame your shadey postal system.
