Up for sale is  WE ARE THE CHANTELS

This is the  original 1958 LP album. When the album was released the company realized the cover photo made the girls look like maids. It was quickly pulled in favor of a cover photo of a jukebox and no photo of the girls, making this original cover a collector's item. The back cover has a photo of four of the girls. It doesn't explain what happened to the fifth. Three of the girls were 16 years old, one was only 13, and the lead singer Arlene Smith was 15 when these recordings were made.

The collectiblity on this record is on the cover.

And this cover is in beautiful condition . The only fault is a 2 inch taped top right seam

Visually the vinyl is a very glossy VG/VG+ with very light superficial hairline scratches.

This Canadian issue on the Quality label with this cove ris even scracer than the US version as few were sent to Canada .
