Description
THE WEE FOUR-45-"Weird" b/w "Give Me A Try"-Nu-Sound LTD. Records #611-Powerhouse Killerkool MONSTER 1966 Rochester, New York Garage-Punk. A side has the menacing elements of LOVE'S "7 And 7 Is" at times with wailing drums throughout-great lead vocal and harmonies, sort of Clefs Of Lavendar Hill meets the Standells for lack of a better description, great lead guitar break. Killer cut. 5-star all the way. B side is more like Mersey/Clefs Of Lavendar Hill...still cool, but not deadly like the A side...Great record and band...late lead singer-drummer Terry Pilittere told me around 1000-2000 of these were pressed...have seen a few copies over the decades, but this record is from this region and obviously more turn up here than anywhere else...Rare & Great...
Condition: Record is hard to grade-sort of beat up, but not really; has some light surface scuffs/paper scuffs/ some moderate wear visible in certain light angles... A side PLAYS AMAZINGLY GREAT with minimal-if any-background noise---B side –more balladish and quiet there is obvious ‘hiss’ or crackle.
Label has some light wear.
