Ween "Paintin' The Town Brown," lomg out of print 3 LP set on glorious brown vinyl. Apparently every copy that ever gets sold on eBay is in mint condition. Which is odd, because i have seen four copies in person, and not one of them was "mint." This copy is not mint. It is however, still in damned fine shape. First, the jacket; There is a small (3-4mm) split at the upper right corner. I honestly believe that a dab of glue would fix that and no one would ever notice. I have done this with great success on other records that i know i will always keep for myself.. I will leave it up to you to do what you want with your new record. On the upper left corner, there is another blemish that is 2mm along the top, and about 3 mm down the spine..it looks like perhaps a cat clawed it..i don't know, it was like that when i bought it. When looking dead on at the face of this jacket, these are not even noticable. The appearance is even more hidden when properly stored in an outer sleeve. Personally, i use the japanese resealable type..they make your records look super sharp and nothing beats them when it comes to keeping out dust. Now, for the vinyl; 3 of the 6 sides have some visual imperfection. 3 of these sides have managed to pick up some hairline scratch..and i DO MEAN HAIRLINE. These couple marks are not signs of abuse or overuse, they are the vinyl picking up that ever so slight blemish when coming out of their sleeves. Hell, they might even come out with a good cleaning. I played all records on two different turntables, and i could hear nothing wrong, not did the needle react to these.
Why am i being so anal? ..Because i would want you to do the same for me. The printed inner sleeve is included.
This record is not mint, but i have done a thourogh job at listing its' flaws. It is still a very respectable copy. It may even be in better shape than some of these other sellers who call theirs "mint." -We've all been burned by that one.
