I picked up this rare LP recently at an Estate sale in San Francisco along with some other scarce 12" s from the same era which I shall be listing soon as well(i.e. check my other auctions)YES! Here it is, the legendary "Welcome to Venice" compilation LP released in 1985 on Suicidal Records and In NEAR MINT CONDITION. This record is one of the RAREST Suicidal Records Venice Beach punk records! YOU WON'T FIND A LOT OF COPIES OF THIS RARE RECORD! Most copies of this record are in thoroughly thrashed condition (pun intended).This album features all the legendary skate punk metal heroes of the Venice scene: Suicidal Tendencies , Beowulf , Los Cycos (a band consisting of Mike Muir on vocals, Grant Estes on guitar, Louiche Mayorga on bass and Sal Troy from No Mercy on drums which you can hear only on that record) , No Mercy and Excel. THOSE BANDS ARE THE MUSICAL "LORDS OF DOGTOWN" ! MIKE MUIR, SINGER FOR SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, IS THE KID BROTHER OF LEGENDARY Z-BOYS SKATEBOARDER AND FOUNDER OF DOGTOWN SKATEBOARD JIM MUIR, FEATURED IN THE MOVIE "LORDS OF DOGTOWN"! It has "The boys are back....", "....possessed", "Today Venice, Tomorrow the World!", "SLP-1001-1", "SLP-1001-2", "S-14936", "S-14937", "Kdisc" and "Kdisc JG" written in the dead wax, showing it is a true original!
