Description

This is a very rare opportunity to purchase a near MINT 1972 vinyl LP record of Looking Through A Window from Wendy Saddington.

Wendy Saddington, with her distinctively powerful and soulful vocal style was at the forefront of Australian female blues in the early 70’s. When she joined forces with Copperwine they were one of Australia’s best progressive blues bands.

Looking Through A Window was recorded ‘live’ at the Odyssey / Wallacia festival in New South Wales (Australia), January 1971. It was originally released as Wendy Saddington and Copperwine Live and then re-released the following year with the inclusion of the two Looking Through A Window tracks.

At the time of this recording Wendy was a member of Copperwine. Other members were Jeff St John (vocals and absent at the time of recording), Harry Brus (bass), Ross East (guitar, vocals), Peter Figures (drums), Barry Kelly (keyboards, vocals)

Looking Through A Window is sensational and the recording excellent.

This record will make you yearn for more of Wendy Saddington’s blues vocals, unfortunately this album and a single are all that we have from this powerful soulful singer.

Side One

  • Looking Through A Window
  • Backlash Blues
  • Just Like Tom Thumbs Blues
  • Tomorrow Never Knows

Side Two

  • Five People Said I Was Crazy
  • Blues In A
  • Looking Through A Window (Reprise)

A chance to purchase Looking Through A Window from Wendy Saddington on LP record is very rare. A copy in near mint condition, like this one, makes this a ‘once in a blue moon’ find.

Grab this chance while you can to add this early piece of Australian blues history to your collection.
