Description
This lot is for an LP record albums (33 rpm) by FRANK ZAPPA & THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION.
The title of the album is "WE'RE IN IT ONLY FOR THE MONEY".
This has a gatefold jacket cover, with the inside cover being a parody of The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album.
This is the U.S. version, released in 1968 by Verve Records with label #V6-5045 and
the catalog number on the record jacket cover as V6-5045X.
(The British version has a black label. The U.S. version has a blue label).
This is the Stereo uncensored version.
THE RECORD: I see some light surface scratches when held in an angle against the light.
THE JACKET: Very nice and clean jacket, with no split seams or stains or writings on either side.
Some wear on the jacket cover and wear on the seams (although not split).
I am not a professional record dealer, so I merely describe the record as best as I can and leave the condition grading up to you.
I mail all my records in a record cardboard box - not an envelope.
It will be well padded to avoid shifting during transit, and I remove the record from the cover jacket and place it next to the jacket. This prevents the edge of the record from splitting the jacket seams while being mishandled by the post office during transit. (I am sure that many buyers received an otherwise very good record jacket that was split at the seams - in all probability caused during the mail process when the record was left inside the jacket.)
