ARTIST: WEST COAST POP ART EXPERIMENTAL BAND
TITLE: A Child's Guide To Good And Evil (Volume 3)
LABEL: Reprise 6298 ultra-rare mono white label promo copy
CONDITION: Top-end VG+ disc (s. 1 looks basically M-, s. 2 has lite marks that do not affect play, still very shiny). s. 2 label has very faint wol (see photo for details). The cover is a top-end VG+ (close to M-), others would call this M-!
COMMENTS: Here's a true major label rarity: WEST COAST POP ART EXPERIMENTAL BAND 'a child's guide to good and evil', in true mono! Issued briefly in '68 to radio, this white label promotional copy is surely one of the last of the dedicated mono mixes from Reprise (slotted nine catalog #'s behind Hendrix's 'Electric Ladyland', which had no mono mix). There was no stock mono issue for this title, which is surely the best & most truly psychedelic of all their LPs. Long a popular record among psych aficionados, this long-rumored mono promo is one of the ultimate collector's items for the era.
