 On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Whichwhat called "Whichwhat's First" and is an ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Beacon label which ran a few years from 1968 to 1973 with the most famous band UFO under contract, the occult band MONUMENT was also on this label and one to track down, equally as rare as this album!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST LPs ON THE BEACON LABEL  -the only on the band ever recorded- AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1970 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION - AND CLEARLY HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS BEACON LABEL, 1ST PRESS 1G/1G MATRIX ENDINGS, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  

This is the ORIGINAL Beacon UK 1st Pressing from 1970 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is BEAS 14 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Beacon Label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

I have played this in FULL> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! There are not any jumps, pops or skips. There is NO background noise at all!! Very remarkable for this 1970 vinyl!!! The heavy vinyl with high groovewalls provides a fantastic audio experience with channelling not equalled by the later CD version. I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing Rotel amp and B&W three way speakers!!! A beautiful CLASSIC with supreme songcraft, a joy to listen to!!!!

Formed in 1968,Whichwhat joined the vibrant 60's Nottingham music scene at a time when every pub and club had live music. They were soon established amongst the elite bands of that period : Sons and Lovers, Six Across, etc. and within 5 months achieved a recording contract on Beacon Records. 
Between 1968 and 1971 Whichwhat released 5 singles and one LP. (Whichwhat's first). They achieved chart success in Holland, Australia and Japan with these songs :- "Gimme Gimme Good Lovin" , "In the year 2525", and " Why do lovers break each others heart". Before their eventual demise Whichwhat went through a series of personnel changes, and turned from a great cover band into a serious progressive rock outfit. ...... 

Hailing from the North Midlands City of Nottingham, Whichwhat played heavy progressive music and earned themselves a reputation throughout Europe and Japan. As the title says this is their debut album, and has become something of a rarity among prog-rock fans.

SO HARD TO FIND THIS WHICHWHAT ALBUM IN THIS FANTASTIC CONDITION THIS WILL BE AN UPGRADE FOR MOST SERIOUS COLLECTORS FOR ITS VINYL. IT IS VERY HARD THESE DAYS TO STILL FIND THIS GEM IN THIS SMASHING CONDITION. IT WILL BE A LONG TIME BEFORE THIS TURNS UP AGAIN IN THIS SPLENDID CONDITION WITH AGAIN MORE TAKERS THAN EVER BEFORE. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT INVESTMENT PIECE. 

Vinyl: EX++.  I'm very happy to be able to present this Irish gem in this wonderful condition. Barely played. The audio is simply sublime played on my Technics deck with Linn Sondek cartridge and through my rotel amp and B&W speakers.  This really heavy vinyl sounds out of this world, a majestic album that went largely unnoticed at the time. Unbelievably it has NO hairlines or marks at all!! NO spider traces near the spindle. The audio has beautiful separation and there is no background noise. I played this through in full and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was even tempted to keep this as it will be very hard to find this again, it is indeed mega rare now in this kind of condition. The labels have no spindle traces at all. Needless to say NO jumps, clicks or ticks. The best you will find by miles. This will be a fantastic upgrade for most long time collectors!!

 Sleeve: VG++.  Nice enough sleeve with just one faint corner crease, otherwise this has been well looked after . Lovely colours and no writing or stickers.  The sleeve is dead straight and has always been kept stright up in a purpose built LP cabinet for decades. Light edge wear only and a spine which is 100%  legible. A repaired top seam split which is barely visible. I have only ever come across this album once before in over 25 years, it is very scarce indeed. The album still has its original inner sleeve which has age related yellowing.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next prog album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
