Description

This is a fantastic stereo copy of the first White Noise album: An Electric Storm, ILPS 9099. The debut White Noise album featured Delia Derbyshire (who was behind the original Doctor Who theme) and Brian Hodgson, who had worked for the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, and David Vorhaus, who had studied classical orchestral bass playing and electronics. The instrumentation consisted of early electronic instruments and a huge amount of tape manipulation. The result was a strange blend of the Medieval and Futuristic music, infused with vivid melody/harmony. Scary and inspiring by turns! LABEL is the classic PINK one. Vinyl is heavy and thick and plays NEAR MINT. Cover has those standard minor corner creases and has an inevitable bit of ring wear but is a strong VG+ - good nick for a record that has beeen in my collection since 1971. Shipping = $8.00 to U.S. and $12.00 to rest of world.
