Description
PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
OFF-THE-CHARTS RARE ORIGINAL FIRST EDITION TEST PRESSING OF THE WHITE STRIPES' THIRD 7" (AND FIRST ON SYMPATHY FOR THE RECORD INDUSTRY) FROM 1999 WITH RED BOWLING BALL RUTH ON THE B-SIDE!!! One of the undisputed crown jewels in my White Stripes collection. I worked at a bar in Wicker Park here in Chicago through most of the 2000s and one of my co-workers also worked at the record store attached to Cabaret Metro. I bought this from him around 2005 and filed it away in my personal collection until today when I took these pics. I have attached photos of the matrix etchings in the dead wax on both this test pressing (photos 5 & 6) and an original stock pressing (photos 3 & 4) to show that they match exactly. Simply impossible to duplicate. This is the real deal. Normally only a handful or so of test pressings are produced for any vinyl run making this one of the most coveted White Stripes rarities around. Disc is in beautiful near mint minus condition. Consider Jack's place in the annals of music, on par with The Edge and Jimmy Page. Now consider what a rarity of this magnitude in this condition would be valued at if was by U2 or Zep and you have some insight as to what the future holds for this 7". Don't sleep. This is what separates elite collectors from the novices.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING: MINT (SEALED)
NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE
VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS
GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
