Description
You're looking at a Rare copy of the compilation LP SYMPATHETIC SOUNDS OF DETROIT. This record is still in the original shrink wrap and therefore has all it's inserts and is in absolutely MINT condition. Released on Sympathy for the Record Industry records catalogue number SFTRI-623, pressed on black wax. Produced by the legendary Jack White of the White Stripes, and recorded at Third Man Studios (also owned by Jack White).
Tracks include hits by Detroit bands of the time- The Hentchmen (a band which Jack White played with, and had been featured on their mini-LP on Italy records), The Dirtbombs (with Jack White's nephew Ben Blackwell), The Come Ons, Bantam Rooster, Whirlwind Heat (a band which featured Meg White on the cover in a bunny suit), The Detroit Cobras, The Soledad Brothers (Jack White being an honorary Soledad Brother and featured on their Lp both as a musician and producer), Ko and the Knockouts, as well as others.
This compilation features the rare recording of The White Stripes' Red Death Letter at 6:14. (later pressed for Mojo magazine as a giveaway promo).
This is a historic must own record.
