Title: Whitman's Punk Sampler  (various artists)   CONDITION: Record: MINT, Sealed Sleeve: MINT, Sealed   Label:  PU 1/2 Overall Condition: Pretty nice copy.  Description:  The one to have. I'm being as critical as I can be on grading this. Always ship my records packed between thick cardboard in a mailer with the disc in a white sleeve out of the cover (unless it's sealed, of course), which is in a plastic sleeve. Rare live performances by The Ramones, The Runaways, The Sex Pistols (their 1st BBC appearance), Patti Smith, The Talking Heads, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Iggy Pop and The Damned. Yes, back then, before the "New Wave" moniker had been coined, people like Elvis Costello, Talking Heads and Tom Petty were considered punk. They didn't know what else to call these new groups. Now, that seems pretty funny to call them that.
