Description
This is an auction for the ultra rare Who album ‘Who Did It.’ Track Records - 2856 001 released briefly in 1970 then pulled from production, there were supposedly only 400 copies ever pressed. Side One consists of side 1 from The Who’s A Quick One’ while Side Two consists of side 1 from ‘The Who Sell Out.’
This copy of the album is in worn condition. It’s admittedly well used and handled (though long before my ownership. Other than to check the record’s quality for this listing, I have not played it in over 25 years).
Sleeve: Overall worn condition. The seam along the top edge has come away and has been sadly taped over by a previous owner with black masking tape (see pic). The remainder of the disconnected seam continues beyond the edge of the tape and is visible from within (see pic). The sleeve is somewhat grubby, containing numerous stains and smudges etc (see pics) but this is a very old and rare album and should hopefully still be of interest to collectors who would like to own one of only approximately 400 copies pressed.
Record: The vinyl has certainly been played a fair bit in the past and contains numerous little pops and crackles throughout. On Side Two, the crackling is more noticeable. However, there are no heavy scratches on the record (there are some light ones and a couple of heavier-looking marks that run along the line of the grooves - see final pic for the more prominent of these) but there were no jumps or skips at all on either side when I played through prior to listing.
Overall, I have graded the sleeve as ‘Worn’ and the record as ‘Fair’. As I don’t usually sell vinyl, the condition and may technically be better than I have described, but I have erred on the side of caution. Please contact me if you wish to see more pictures.
