Description
From 1970, out of the UK, comes this rare compilation LP entitled I Am, pressed in small limited quantities as a devotional to hindu guru Meher Baba. Most of the tracks are by Pete Townsend (of The Who). Other tracks are by Ronnie Lane of The Faces/Small Faces, Caleb Quaye, Billy Nichols and others. Eight track album, housed in its original mailer with a shipping label on the rear from the Meher Baba Library in Berkeley,Ca. Includes 48 page wallpaper-newspaper, plus three inserts with ordering information for this album and the Happy Birthday album. The newspaper was produced by Michael McInnerny, the artist responsible for The Who's Tommy album package! The wallpaper-newspaper has photos of Baba and some articles on him and his following in England. Big thick LP with a white label with BABA LP 002A, and BABA LP 002B etched in the deadwax on each side. This is a heavy package and is equivalent to three LPs, so the postage will be higher!
