This really was the birth of progressive rock! It was the Beatles' 9th Lp and what an imapact it had. and still does have. Released on the 1st of June 1967, the album reached number 1 across the board, staying at number 1 for 23 weeks!! With a total of 148 weeks in the charts!!

Side 2 has the Mother stamped unusually-not resembling a number or letter-kind of a lower case g, on it's side. I have seen this before, but only on test pressings.

VG. Has a lovely dull sheen. With light marks to the vinyl, to both sides.

Just finished listening to the whole album and found a wonderful sound reproduction from the album
!!!TURN THIS BABY UP LOUD!!! (I did)
There is some light background noise, noticeable in the quiet sections, which would be reduced with a gentle professional clean-mainly to get rid of the dust...The audio reproduction gets progressively better as the album is played.



Labels: VG+. Only light spindle marks, more evident when angled towards the light, with a tiny amount of hole wear to side 2.

Inner Sleeve: EX-!.
It is the really rather rare and deliat FOOLS INNER.
Carries the "PATENTS APPLIED FOR" & "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN"
Small crease to the bottom and slight discolouration-when being very critical.
LOVELY AND BRIGHT

Cut-Outs: VG+.
ORIGINAL DARK GREEN 1st printing. There is some light creasingand a very small tear to the bottom right corner.
WOULD FRAME WELL.
ALL COMPLETE.

The Cover: VG(+).
RARE WIDESPINE
The front cover remains in very good condition, as is the back cover and the inner picture is lovely and BRIGHT.
The spine is the much rarer WIDESPINE version, which is about 8mm wide.
There is only some very light rubbing to the top and bottom of the spine...It remains lovely and strong and prominent!
PLEASE SEE THE DETAILED IMAGES FOR YOURSELVES-I AM NOT HIDING ANYTHING AND YOU GET WHAT YOU SEE...
There are small crescents and lines of spidering to the front laminate, with only a few to the back..but still solid.
THE GATEFOLD OPENS WITH A CRACKLE-AS IF BEING OPENED FOR THE 1st TIME, BACK IN '67!
 I am being very critical, as well as honest as possible.
REMAINS vibrant in colour.
The very strange observation is the factory defect-missing the laminate by 8mm to the opening of the back gatefold-I think this is sue to the spine being 8mm wider! Unusual-almost like a transitional widespine cover!
