This really was the birth of progressive rock! It was the Beatles' 9th Lp and what an imapact it had. and still does have. Released on the 1st of June 1967, the album reached number 1 across the board, staying at number 1 for 23 weeks!! With a total of 148 weeks in the charts!!

(Side 2 has 2 other numbers stamped over multiple times to obscure them...they must've got the wrong Mother number at the factory).

Has a lovely dull sheen. With light marks to the vinyl, to both sides.

FLAT AS THE DAY SHE WAS BORN
After giving her a gentle vacuum clean, I have just finished listening to the whole album and found a good solid sound reproduction from the album.
!!!TURN THIS BABY UP LOUD!!! (I did)
There is some light background noise, more noticeable in the quiet sections and side 1 for some reason....It sounded more like static. ...The audio reproduction gets progressively better as the album is played, with side two sounding great.
There is a tiny white spot to side 2, but this does not affect playback and could be removed.
The only pops I noticed were in between Fixing a Hole and the transition to She's Leaving Home...but there were only 3 pops and did not affect playback of the track.

Inner Sleeve:

It is the really rather rare and long deleated FOOLS INNER.
Carries the "PATENTS APPLIED FOR" & "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN"
The singular unfortunate part about this inner is the split to the bottom seam. However the rest of it is in great shape.

ORIGINAL DARK GREEN 1st printing.
There is one small line of light creasing to 1cm in on the left hand side, but not particularly pronounced at all.
Other than that-PERFECT!
WOULD FRAME WELL.
ALL COMPLETE.


The Cover:
VG+.
RARE WIDESPINE
The front cover remains in very good condition, as is the back cover and the inner picture is lovely and BRIGHT.
The spine is the much rarer WIDESPINE version, which is about 8mm wide.
There is only some very light knocking & rubbing to the top with just knocking to bottom of the corners on the spine...It remains lovely and strong!
PLEASE SEE THE DETAILED IMAGES FOR YOURSELVES-I AM NOT HIDING ANYTHING AND YOU GET WHAT YOU SEE...
There are 5 small crescents of spidering to the front laminate, with about the same to the back..Remains wonderfully solid.
The spine has a few small fingers of spidering emanating from it and the bottom right corner to the back also has a line of spidering to the laminate.
THE GATEFOLD OPENS WITH A CRACKLE-AS IF BEING OPENED FOR THE 1st TIME, BACK IN '67!
 I am being very critical, as well as honest as possible.
REMAINS vibrant in colour.
