Description
Original Test Pressing dating from late 1969 or early 1970 on the Mastertone Studio label. Original two-sided 12" Test Pressing LP disc of the mono version of the first psych album by Wil Malone, issued on the Fontana label, STL 5541
Side A: Catherine Wheel (2:11), I Could Write A Book (3:04), February Face (2:13), Love In The Afternoon (2:29), Winter In Boston (2:04), Caravan (3:06). Side B: Down Maundies (2:37), Suzy (2:40), Tale To Tell (2:52), One More Flight To Parker (2:59), At The Silver Slipper (2:58), and How About Then (2:25).
Other than a few needle drop marks here and there, this acetate test pressing is in amazingly good condition. One a scale of one to ten, with ten being reserved to describe a brand new unplayed album and one being used to describe a completely scratched up and worn/unplayable disc, I would grade this as being AT LEAST an 8.5
This item comes in generic white protective cardboard album jacket. Each side of the disc has its original Mastertone Studio NYC logo label and typed secretarial info indicating Mono and Wil Malone and "A" or "B" (depending on the side) plus the word PERCEPTION - perhaps this was the original name of the album?
