Why do we believe that this album contains the original, first pressing of the record? Well, our conclusion that this album contains the original, first pressing – an assumption which we caution may be entirely wrong - was based on the following factors:

1.    There was only one label and only one pressing of this title that we are aware of.

2.    The high quality and overall integrity of the manufacture points out to the earliest generation of the pressing.

3.    Only the original, first pressings were MONO; all subsequent pressings were STEREO ("electronic" stereo)

4.    The thickness of the vinyl (this is almost certainly a pre-1970 pressing)

5.    The shrink wrap on the cover is a brittle, inflexible and non-stretchable variety and NOT the later, flexible and elastic type usually found on 70’s and 80’s pressings.

(IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded!; we grade records under the strong, diffuse room light or discrete sunlight)

(a)            THE ALBUM IS STILL FACTORY SEALED AND IS BELIEVED TO BE PERFECTLY MINT. Please note: sealed items are assumed to be mint and are sold as-is, as we have no way of inspecting them. For our policy on still sealed records ►click here (PLEASE READ BEFORE PLACING A BID)

(b)            The record is apparently pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(c)             Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

(d)            Mono pressing of this title is much rarer, and by far more preferable to its FAKE ("electronically rechannelled") stereo counterpart. We estimate that FAKE stereo copies of this album outnumber monos by a ratio of at least 5:1.

(e)             True Stereo copies of this album are NOT known to exist.

COVER IS NEAR MINT, STILL SEALED AND COVERED IN ITS ORIGINAL ►SHRINK WRAP

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Minor water stain / mildew spot (roughly 1 square inch in size) is visible in one corner of the cover (nothing significant); it is practically invisible on front panel, a little more pronounced on the back panel.

-         Cover shows some light, barely noticeable, yellowing on back side, apparently from aging.

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-         No split seams

-         No ring wear

-         No cut-out (drill) holes.

-         No cut-out corners

-         No saw-marks or indents

-         No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)

-         No wrinkles or creases

-         No writing

-         No stamps

-         No tearing: no chips, dents or nicks on the seams

-         No peel-off marks

-         No stickers or labels

-         No water damage

-         No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or cuts.

-         No warping

-         No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover

-         No glue traces or wax residue.

-         No bar codes

-         No RIAA stamps or stickers.
