VINYL: EX (EXCELLENT) (Music plays through strong & loud with a tiny bit of light pop & crackle here and there. A very enjoyable playing record. The vinyl is still very shiny with only a couple very minor surface marks/scratches, nothing deep or notable effecting enjoyment of play. Please do take a listen to the actual record below. The labels look really nice with a just a hint of shelf wear & a slight blowout on the A-side from the actual pressing that looks decidedly pretty cool. NICE!!!)
This auction is for this the VERY RARE NORTHERN SOUL FUNK 45 from Chicago by JAY JOHNSON, an original SWING RECORDS 7" pressing. KILLER record, full of life & soul, not one to sleep on! Other than the obsessive Manship I have never heard anyone else that is in-the-know of this amazing & unbelievably rare grail, just waiting for the right DJ to blow the top off of this gem. This 45 is going to become huge any day now, get it before it's well into the thousands. A-side is the most lively version of Stand By Me you are likely to ever hear & the B-side is an amazing Jay Johnson & J. Peterson penned killer Soul track that is destined for legendary status.
