Experimental Disco WESTERN BOLLYWOOD OST 'Wanted' Bappi Lahiri Click here to listen to a MP3 SOUND CLIP
Bappi Lahiri goes Spaghetti Western! Hindi Cowboy C-grade DISCO: 'WANTED'. And why not? There is a FAB disco duet bewteen Asha & Bappi full of heavy horns, phasers and keyboard bleeps. There is a cheesy Disco openeing song that stomps your brain out. There is a weird acoustic disco instrumental filled with strange flutes & keyboards. There is also a lriding-my-horse-on-the-plains Western style track, including lonely mounth organ.
But above all there is the experimental electronic Hindi disco 'Koi Lutera' kicking off with downright FAB SYNTH LOOPS and weird effects. Police sirenes, Indian percusion; a lady screaming 'WANTED WANTED!!'. The singing is not the best, but the interludes are all amazing with the synth loop and the sirenes. And look at the fabulous gatefold cover, a centerfold with Cowboy Mithun from head to toe! Very hard to find, especially with gatefold cover.
INDIA 1983, Sleeve NM Record VG++ very nice copy, minimal surface noise!
