William Backhouse performing "Beethoven Concerto Number 3 for Piano, and Orchestra in C Minor, Opus 37", with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Hans Schmidt-Isserstedt.
The back cover reads "William BACKHAUS was born in Leipzig on March 26th, 1884 and studied at the Leipzig Conservatory under Reckendorf until 1899, and then went to Frankfurt-am Main, where he underwent a period of serious study with Eugene D Albert."
