HOT BUNS part I / HOT BUNS part II ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by WILLIE BABY. Original US promo pressing on the DING DONG label (45-1234), from circa 1967. Hard and infectious NYC boogaloo double-sider with funky breaks and unusual arrangements ;) Both sides are killer... heavy, aggressive rhythms and B-boy style breaks spike the delirious latin soul of HOT BUNS part I and part II ups the R&B sleaze factor with furious tittyshaker sax solos et al. Big vocals / shouts / whistles and screams even though label says instrumental for both sides. Great for DJs. Crossover appeal for northern soul and mod collectors. We have recorded both sides for our soundclip, opening with the HOT BUNS part I version. Nobody seems to knows who the mysterious Willie Baby really was, maybe Willie Rodriguez undercover(?) Whatever, this is the desirable promotional issue in flat edged styrene. Nice copy. Booming production too. Rare 45!!!

Flat edged styrene record is in shiny, strong VG++ condition overall with some hairlines and a small section of faint scuffs to 'Hot Buns Part II' side. Light surface noises. Looks and sounds superb overall with booming production too. Small name in pen to one side of label. Record will be housed in a new, plain white card sleeve with poly lined inner. Rare 45!!!
