Description
Beautiful copy of the rare original 1965 first pressing of Willie Nelson’s Country Willie-His Own Songs LP on RCA mono LPM-3418. This was only his third ever album, and here he sings his own versions of several songs he wrote for other people, which was mainly what he was doing in Nashville in those days. Produced by Chet Atkins with that classic Nashville sound that he ran away from a few years later to start the “outlaw” scene in Texas. A beautiful glimpse into his early sound, totally different from his more famous stuff in the 70s and 80s. This copy is just gorgeous. Original black Dynagroove label copy, in the better-sounding mono. The disc has a few very light superficial scuffs but they aren’t scratches at all and it plays absolutely flawlessly. Just a beautiful playing copy. The cover has some wear at the upper right corner where there is a short 1” split and some light fraying. Not bad at all. Just a tiny bit of very very minor corner wear on the other corners as well, but barely. Otherwise this is a stunning cover with barely any signs of much use at all. Really this is a top, top original copy, near impossible to beat.
