Wonderful work here from pianist Hyperion Knight as he takes on music of Chopin.
The SONATA IN B MINOR, BALLADE No. 4, and POLONAISE IN F MINOR are very fine indeed.
That said, note that David Wilson of Wilson Audio Specialties did the recording at Lucasfilm’s Skywalker Ranch, where the noise floor is non-existent, the acoustic totally adjustable.
The result: You hear a 9’ Hamburg Steinway plopped down in your listening room. (I kid you not.)
Fabulous dimensionality here, captured by two Sennheiser omnis running through class-A mic preamps designed by John Curl (of Mark Levinson fame), then monitored on Wilson WATT II/Puppies, and pressed on the very finest vinyl available.
It's stunning, jaw-dropped listening, especially from such a fine copy, factory sealed.
Absolutely, positively not to be missed.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $14 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $5, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
