WILSON PICKETT- "THE SOUND OF WILSON PICKETT"

Dated 2/8/67 this is a ULTRA RARE "ATLANTIC RECORDS" ACETATE REFERENCE LP commissioned prior to retail production.

Usually pressed to evaluate the quality of tape to disc transfer, ACETATE lps usually are pressed in extremely limited amounts and usually only listened to by the artist themselves and select sound engineers and other technical individuals.

Sound quality is usually substandard and degrades very quickly with just several plays.

Crackles, pops and other noise will be common. This lp is being sold as a RARE COLLECTORS ITEM and should not be purchased with the belief that sound fidelity will be equal to that of the conventional retail album.

Some other differences to note: This acetate album has only 9 tracks where the officially released version has 11.
                                                   The song titles on the acetate labels differ slightly in name then the officially released versions.
                                                   Sometimes the recordings themselves may differ from the officially released versions.

The RECORD labels are HAND TYPED with the artists NAME, SONG TITLES and DATE.

The ACETATE itself has several scratches. Virtually all of them seem to be "SURFACE SCRATCHES".

There are 2 larger "SCUFF" TYPE marks on Side 2. Most of the "scuff" is on the "runoff" and only affects part of the last song.

Also some general overall signs of age and wear both to the RECORD and RECORD LABELS.

Overall condition is VG-.

Comes in an AUDIODISCS paper sleeve which is almost COMPLETELY SPLIT on all sides with a piece of tape attached to the bottom seam.

The SLEEVE is also frayed at the edges and is only in FAIR condition.

The SONG TITLES as they appear on the acetate labels are:

Side 1: love is a beautiful thing, soul dance # 3, funky broadway, mo jo mama, i found a love

Side 2: i found the one, i can't stand alone, sorry about that, something within me

ALL RECORDS ARE MAILED IN A HARD CARDBOARD MAILER DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR RECORDS. THE RECORDS ARE REMOVED FROM THE JACKETS PRIOR TO SHIPPING ON ALL UNSEALED RECORDS. ALL RECORDS ARE WRAPPED IN BUBBLE WRAP AND COVERED IN PLASTIC TO PREVENT POSSIBLE DAMAGE FROM RAIN OR WETNESS.
All packages sent within the U.S. are sent by "Media Mail" with delivery confirmation. "Priority Mail" is available upon request.
International Postage fees are frequently changing due to The United States Postal Service (USPS) price increases.
The actual cost to your country can be viewed under shipping details. I do combine shipping charges. On average each additional LP mailed outside the U.S. is approximately $4.50 additional WORLDWIDE.
