Description
Very rare and OOP, the amazing and eclectic soundtrack to the beautiful Wim Wenders masterpiece "Wings of Desire". Original 1988 Mute Records, UK pressing. Side 1 is taken up by the avant-classical cello compositions of Jurgen Knieper, gorgeous ethereal stuff. Side 2 is more varied with the awesome song "Six Bells Chime" from Crime and the City Solution (featured in an awesome live concert scene in the film), "The Carny" from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and exclusive to this record, a unique re-recorded version of the anthem "From Her to Eternity" by the Bad Seeds, quite different to the 1984 original. Side 2 also features cool compositions from Laurie Anderson and Laurent Pelitgand.
From my private collection, rarely ever played, vinyl in near mint condition, plays excellent, very clean. This record is a great listen throughout, fabulous sound quality from Mute. The cover has some shelf ware, and a small corner bend, but still very good.
