TEA TWO MILKY

hi, i'm trying to list some records every few weeks over the next few months, there should be some different types of reggae for everyone! this week i'm listing some skin head reggae in nr mint condition, a few very rare studio 1 produced pre releases on the UK fab label (mega rare!), a trojan gpw pre release series, one of bob marleys first singles one cup of coffee and even a bit of calypso! please have a look, thanks.

CONDITION : visually VG, some fine marks on the record. plays really really well though, please check the sound files

COMMENTS: the record: trojan released a series of blanks in their music land shops in the uk, one of these series has the matrix stamp GPW (stands for graham p walker who was trojan manager at the time) and they sold for quite alot of cash to sound men so they could have advance copies that other sound men wouldn't have, very limited copies. some of the GPW series went on to be released officialy on trojan or one of their susiduaries at a later date, and some were released only on these white label pre's. i'm 99% sure this was never released in the uk except for on this GPW pre. i did a little research and found a list of the GPW series in the book "young gifted and black the story of trojan records" by michael de koningh, GPW 37 is listed as 'not yet traced' so i'm guessing its pretty scarce. the tunes: the a side is cotton comes to harlem by winston wright, i guess inspired by the blacksploitation film of the same name. this is an organ cut of lollipop girl by derrick harriott and the crystalites and it has a spoken intro like many of the skin classics produced by harriott and released on songbird in the uk. the b side is either lollipop version or possible harlem cotton by the crystalites, i'm not sure
