Wishbone Ash are a British rock band who achieved particular success in the early and mid-1970s. Formed in My home town of Devon in 1969 out of the ashes of the group The Empty Vessels, which had featured Wishbone Ash's founding members Martin Turner and Steve Upton, the original line-up was completed by Andy Powell and Ted Turner.

Argus is the third album by the rock band Wishbone Ash. It is the most popular Wishbone Ash album and widely considered the greatest by fans and reviewers. It was named "Album of the Year" in the 1972 year-end issue of Sounds Magazine. The album features a blend of progressive rock, folk, and heavy metal, and is considered a landmark album in the progression of twin-lead guitar harmonization later adopted by bands such as Iron Maiden and Umphrey's McGee.

With the success of Argus, the band also became one of the most popular live attractions of the day.

The Vinyl

This is the original heavier and deeper grooved type of vinyl.!! On visual inspection this looks like new!! I can hardly see a blemish!!!! Any marks that could possibly be seen in strong light would only be sleeve removal marks!!! There are (no) needle scratches or indeed any marks that would effect play!!!! I have played  this through track for track and this plays awesome (no) grooveware of any distortion (no) clicks or pops as good as the day this was pressed in my opinion!!!!! You will find the audio quality hard to surpass!!!!!!

Please note! I always add this disclaimer! Please allow for the odd statick tick (not consistant throughout the audio) This is a genuine vinyl (not a reissue) that is 35 years old and would have originally been played on a 35 year olsd system!!!!! In my opinion this is very top audio throughout!!!!!

The labels

These feature the original Black 'MCA' labels with the blue band (only 1st press) as new condition very very few spider marks (this has only been played a handfull of times)!!! (no) spindle ware the hole is perfectly round!!!!!

The cover

This is the original ''Robert Stace'' Unlaminated gatefold cover! with (no) splits or tares hardly any creases to talk of and very very minimal storage ware \rubbing and some creasing at the spine but the writing can be clearly seen There is a very light mark of a sticker residue that can be seen if looked for front top left could possibly easily be removed and very small hardly noticable at all (see photo) these are very very hard to find in this condition a superbe example!!!!!!! (no) writing or nasty names!!!!!!!

The record sleeve

The original poly lined sleeve has just very few creasings (no) splits or tares and is stored seperastely from the vinyl!!!!!
