Another from my personal collection of over 50,000 albums that I have collected over a period of more than 45 years! and only been played a handful of  times ever! This is the 2nd label variation 2nd UK issue on the black MCA labels.

Wishbone Ash are a British rock band who achieved particular success in the early and mid-1970s.

Formed in My home town of Devon in 1969 out of the ashes of the group The Empty Vessels, which had featured Wishbone Ash's founding members Martin Turner and Steve Upton, the original line-up was completed by Andy Powell and Ted Turner.!

Argus is the third album by the rock band Wishbone Ash. It is the most popular Wishbone Ash album and widely considered the greatest by fans and reviewers.

It was named "Album of the Year" in the 1972 year-end issue of Sounds Magazine.

The album features a blend of progressive rock, folk, and heavy metal, and is considered a landmark album in the progression of twin-lead guitar harmonization later adopted by bands such as Iron Maiden and Umphrey's McGee!.

With the success of Argus, the band also became one of the most popular live attractions of the day!!!.

The Vinyl

This is the original heavier and deeper grooved type of vinyl. On visual inspection this looks superbe! Any marks that could possibly be seen in strong light would only be light whispy sleeve removal scuffs/marks! (Nothing that would cause any constant clicks or pops)

The Audio Quality

I have play tested this awesome looking vinyl at very loud volume on a top system (two times) prior to listing! This audio is absolutely superb throughout. Stunning audio seperation, Rich bassey feel only found like this on the earliest pressings with the earliest stampers! No  loud constant clicks or pops and certainly no distortion at all! Audio graded at least Excellent Plus To Near Mint In My Opinion! (One of the best sounding copies thast I have heard) An audio Archive Copy! Final Upgrade!

Please note! I always add this disclaimer! Please allow for the odd static(not consistant throughout the audio) This is a genuine vinyl (not a reissue) that is 46 years old and would have originally been played on a 46 year olsd system! In my opinion this will produce the very top audio throughout!!

The labels

These feature the original Black 'MCA' labels (only early press 2nd label variation for this pressing) in awesome condition AMAIZINGLY I find it hard to see any real spider mark! (no) spindle ware the hole is perfectly round!

The cover

This is the original 1st issue ''Robert Stace'' Unlaminated gatefold cover! with (no) splits or tares (NO) splits or tares. No real nasty creases to talk of(no) nasty storage ware to the corners at all! Please note! Light rubbing ware with age only, remember this is 46 years old but truly exceptional condition minor creasing at the spine only but nothing too bad to worry about in my opinion  (see photos) these are very very hard to find in this condition a superbe example!(no) writing or nasty names!  this is the original so hard to find in this condition after 46 years!! I would grade this at least excellent in my opinion!

The record sleeve

The original poly lined DECCA STEREO sleeve (Correct for this issue) has just very few creasings/staining/fading with age only (no) splits or tares and is stored seperastely from the vinyl!
