Argus is the most popular Wishbone Ash album and widely considered the greatest by fans and reviewers.
It was named "Album of the Year" in the 1972 year-end issue of Sounds magazine and features a blend of progressive rock, folk, and heavy metal and is considered a landmark album in the progression of twin-lead guitar harmonisation later adopted by many other bands.
This is the quintessential Wishbone Ash recording and the one that best realised the group's complex vision

Side 1: Time Was / Sometime World / Blowin' Free
Side 2: The King Will Come / Leaf And Stream / Warrior / Throw Down The Sword

LABELS: MINT-
Clean, unmarked labels with one/two light spindle traces
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT+
Both vinyl surfaces retain their original deep glossy sheen. There are light hairlines/brush marks visible under strong light but these have no audible significance
VINYL Audio: NEAR MINT
Outstanding sound quality on this first pressing - great clarity and depth, and my play-check at loud volume found no audio issues of note - pretty much flawless playback throughout and exceptionally clean on the quieter sections i.e. the intro to 'Time Was' and the gentle acoustic "Leaf and Stream"
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT++
Fine example - a small amount of storage rub to the bottom of the front and slight wear to the edges but overall, clean, sharp and fresh - all text on the wide spine is clear and bold
