SUPERBE ON ALL FREQUENCIES!!PLAYS AS NEW!! (NO) AUDIO SOUNDING MARKS OR SCRATCHES!!! -1L AND -2L MATRIX! LOOK! EARLIEST EVER MOTHER STAMPERS ''1'' ''G'' and ''1'' ''H'' VERY VERY RARE! SUPERBE ORIGINAL GATEFOLD COVER!! This from my personal collection and being an avid colletor of these MCA label variations! I personally beleive that these labels were featured on the earliest of these pressings although there is liturature that says the contrary! ,,even though these vinyls with these variations are highly collectable! Pilgrimage is the second album by legendary rock band Wishbone Ash. The album focuses more on folk and acoustic music as opposed to the blues rock sound that dominated the first album. The album also contains an instrumental jazz workout ("Vas Dis") and a four-part harmony vocal track in the spirit of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young ("Valediction").
The album sold well, reaching no.14 in the UK charts, but the band would reach their creative and commercial peak with their next release.

Rarest ever label variation! and superbe top! audio throughout! very very collectable and sought after!!
The vinyl
On initial inspection this looks like new!! Super thick and chunky type of vinyl only found on earliest pressings! This lays perfectly flat on the turntable!
On initial inspection this looks absolutely awesome! Still retains its original sheen from new! Only in strong light can possibly any (very few) surface marks In fact i can only see one small scuff mark absolutely non audio sounding! I have played this through track for trak prior to listing! The audio is rated at the very top on all frequencies! it is awesome! (no) distortion or any signs of any grooveware at all! I heard (no) clicks or pops and more importantly i heard no background noise so common on these early pressings!
Please note I always add this disclaimer!Please allow for the odd static (not) consistant throughout the audio! Please remember that this is a genuine 37 year old vinyl that would have originally been played on a 37 year old system! In my opinion this plays as good as new!!!!
You will be hard pressed to find a better sounding original!

The Cover
This is the original unlaminated ROBERT STACE gatefold cover in superbe condition throughout! With no real creases only minor ones can be seen at the spine if really looked for! The same can be said for any ringware at the rear of the cover in the form of very (very) light rubbing indeed! This is strong and straight and the original! 37 years old and still a top example!!!
The record Sleeve
This is the original poly lined Decca 'Stereo' sleeve! light staining becoming fragile with age no splits or tares at the edges! The original!
