DEBUT ALBUM from this highly revered and much loved British rock stalwarts who arrived on the scene like a breath of fresh air. Pioneers of the twin lead guitar style (later co-opted by Thin Lizzy) and purveyors of a unique style that fused hard rock with folk, the Ash received plaudits and praise from virtually every corner of the rock world during the early seventies.

This album is stuffed full of long guitar fuelled tracks such as 'Blind Eye', 'Lady Whisky', 'Queen Of Torture', 'Errors Of My Way' and 'Phoenix', the latter an eleven minute Ash classic. 

Produced by Derek Lawrence and engineered by Martin Birch, the men behind those early and great Deep Purple albums.

As you know Ash albums aren't that hard to find but getting your hands on absolutely MINT 1st press blue/black label copies are a thing of the past. Everytime I find this album it's usually a later Red/Pink dogbone or MCA rainbow press and the cover/vinyl are totally trashed. Well, this one is a great copy - about as good as it gets.

Vinyl: Superb clean and shiny condition. A couple of light spindle marks on labels but no other signs of use. Grades as virtually shop fresh MINT-!

Cover: Again, virtually no signs of use - still retains the crisp original printers bloom. Issued in a beautifully illustrated gatefold cover. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff, straight and totally uncrushed. When held in a strong light a small area of sticker residue is just visible - really, does not even come close to affecting the look and feel. Beautiful and impossible to find like this 46 years after release. Looks like the cover and vinyl walked out of the factory yesterday. Grades as top shop fresh MINT!
