Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - With The Beatles' 1963 FIRST PRESS STEREO vinyl LP.
This particular pressing features the MEGA RARE 'Jobete' and 'Gotta' misprint on the Side 2 label! When this album was first released in the UK, the publishing credits for the track "Money" were credited to 'Jobete Mus.' when in fact it should have been credited to 'Dominion. Belinda'. Also, first press copies feature 'Gotta' on the side 2 label and rear of sleeve instead of 'Got To'. These mistakes were quickly noted and changed so it's considered to be very rare!
Also, first press stereo copies of With The Beatles are way rarer than mono pressings as the demand for stereo records in 1963 was very low. Most people didn't have equipment that could play stereo records and those that did had to specially order stereo copies through their local record dealer! VERY RARE, DO NOT MISS OUT!!!

Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - there are some light marks and hairlines, none that I can feel however. There is a patch of needle trails/scuffs but again, I can't feel them. Nice gloss and shine, rated as VERY GOOD+. Label is EXCELLENT. Side 2 - similar to Side 1 except it has a larger patch of needle trails/scuffs across tracks 4 and 5 - very LIGHTLY feelable but I'm just being strict. They do NOT cause skips or jumps and the album plays perfectly.
Audio: I have play-tested this album in its entirety and grades as VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT-! I can confirm that there are NO SKIPS, NO STICKS and NO JUMPS on my system!mThere is some crackle on the run-ins and in-between tracks. It is also present in the background but the loud, punchy audio masks it very well and it never becomes a problem. Really crisp highs with a surprising amount of clarity for such an old LP! Can hear every instrument and vocal. These 1963 stereo presses of With The Beatles are an absolute joy to listen to, really interesting mix on a nice thick slab of vinyl!
Inner Sleeve: The original EMITEX inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+ condition. Unfortunately, there is an approximately 2.5" split to the right seam. Still houses the record extremely well. Light discolouration and light creasing elsewhere.
Sleeve: The original DARK SLEEVE 1963 large STEREO flipback sleeve is currently in strong VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+ condition! The front of the sleeve has some creases towards the edges and some light laminate creasing. Still retains a nice gloss. The rear of the sleeve has some staining and age-related discolouration. Everything is still readable and it has no writing or graffiti. The flipbacks are held down tightly but they do have some sticker residue on them - not a major issue! The spine is 100% readable with some light creasing. All edges are intact!
