BEATLES ''WITH THE BEATLES'' ORIGINAL AND RAREST UK ((DECCA)) CONTRACT PRESSING!! -7N -7N MATRIX  ''GEORGE MARTINS FINAL CORRECTION FOR THIS PRESSING'' THE VINYL HAS (NO) AUDIO SOUNDING SCRATCHES OR MARKS!!  STUNNING  TOP MONO AUDIO!  !!! SUPERBE RARE GARROD & LOFTHOUSE FLIPBACK COVER!!! LARGE MONO!!! WITH THE  CORRECTED  SPELLING OF THE TRACK ''YOU REALLY GOT A HOLD ON ME'' !

Another from my personal collection of over 1000 UK Beatles albums alone, that I have accumilated over a period of more than 45 years or more!! I recon that I have in my collection over 60 original copies of this album alone! I have most of thre matrix and label variations that I know of apart from -2N matrix ending which I do not think was ever released on mono!!

This is an original UK pressing released on the original yellow and black Parlophone labels, contracted out and pressed by Decca due to the overwhelming demand for this album at the time during the early 60s! These are a rarety to find in any condition but to find a copy like this is unbeleivably rare in my opinion! The condition is truly stunning throughout, totaly original! For me the important factor is the unbeleivably stunning audio quality. I played this vinyl on a top system using a dedicated mono cartridge and this plays without any clicks or pops during the audio and absolutely no distortion that is so often found on these early pressings! It is also important to note that this pressing is also quite scarce to find even with the corrected track spelling ''You Got A Hold On Me'' on both the labels and the cover! The Garrod & Lofthouse cover is also in truly exceptional condition throughout!

Unique identification!

There are unique charactoristics of these  pressings that can only be found on Decca contract press!

The labels feature a distinctive groove or ridge 3mm from the perimeter,, also these have (no) stamper letters (G or D) stamped at 3 oclock to the matrix!

With The Beatles is the second studio album by the English rock band The Beatles. It was released in November 1963 on Parlophone, and was recorded four months after the band's debut Please Please Me!!.

The album features eight original compositions (seven by Lennon/McCartney, as well as George Harrison s first composition) and six covers (mostly of Motown and R&B hits). Most of the songs from the album were released in the United States as Meet The Beatles! on 20 January 1964, and the remaining that were not, featured on their next US album, The Beatles' Second Album!!.

The LP had advance orders of a half million and sold another half million by September 1965—making it the second album to sell a million copies in the UK. With demands so high for this album at the time, Parlophone decided to contract out some of the pressings to their 'rival' company Decca!

With The Beatles stayed at the top of the charts for 21 weeks, displacing Please Please Me, so that the Beatles occupied the top spot for 51 consecutive weeks. It even reached number eleven in the "singles charts" (because at the time UK charts counted all records sold, regardless of format). EMI Australia did not receive the cover art, and used a caricature of the band in a similar style to the black and white photograph on other releases. The Beatles were unaware of this until fans showed them the cover during their only Australian tour, and informed the EMI publicity people they were not pleased with the substitution!.

On 26 February 1987, With The Beatles was officially released on compact disc (in mono only, catalogue number CDP 7 46436 2). Having been available only as an import in the US in the past, the album was also issued domestically in the US on LP and cassette on 21 July 1987. Along with the rest of the Beatles' canon, it was re-released on CD in newly re-mastered!

The Vinyl

LOOKS SUPERBE (STILL SUPER AND GLOSSY SHEEN FROM NEW)!!!!! . The vinyl is the original thick and chuncky, heavier and thicker type of vinyl that is only found on the earliest pressings! These have deeper grooves than later press and are much more robust!  On initial inspection I can hardly see a blemish on ther playing surface . This looks awesome! I can't see any scratches or audio sounding marks! Any marks that could possibly be seen when angled in strong light would be light whyspy sleeve removal \scuffs only!!

The Audio Quality

I have careefully played this vinyl track for track at very loud volume on a top system using a dedicated mono cartridge! The audio is stunning, clear and very vibrant throughout! I heard (no) clicks or pops during the audio and importantly no nasty background noise that is so often found on these early Beatles 60s albums! Quite unbeleivable sound! Any static \crackle was only heard in perhapes between some tracks only! Amaizingly no crackle or pops during the audio and not even during the quiet tracks (very rare to find like this indeed) Truly exceptional audio in my personal opinion!! Please look at my completed listings of records that I have sold of this calaber and you will see that I normally get it right! I would grade the audio at least excellent plus on my systems!! (no) clicks or pops during the audio!

Please note! I always add this disclaimer! Please allow for the odd light static\crackle\tick (not consistant throughout the audio) Perhapes heard only in between tracks only! Please remember that this is a genuine 47 year old vinyl that would have originaly been played on a 47 year old system!!

These feature the 3mm ridge or groove around the perimeter hole (only Decca contract pressings) very rarely seen in superbe condition! All text is readable! ''The Parlophone co....'' rim text is featured (only early press) Bare minimal spidering can only be seen angled to the light ! There is little if no spindle ware the hole is perfectly round!

The Sleeve

This is the original Emitex poly lined sleeve becoming fragile with age. There are no tares but side splits beginning and light staining\fading with age! This is the original and is stored seperately from the vinyl

The Cover

This is the original Garrod & Lofthouse flip back cover! In truly exceptional condition! Super, super glossy appearence, laminated  front only,  with no real main creases to talk of at the front just minor edge lines only! Any light storageware is extreemely minimal and you would havre to look hard to notice! The rear is exceptionally clean again any storageware or staining you would have to scrutinise to notice any!! This must grade at least excellent to excellent plus in my opinion!!
