Description
ARTIST: PUBLIC IMAGE LTD. .
TITLES: "PUBLIC IMAGE" / "THE COWBOY SONG" .
FORMAT: …vinyl 7" single…
LABEL: WIZARD Records .
CATALOGUE #: ZS-302 .
DATE OF RELEASE: 1978 .
PRESSED IN: Australia .
ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?: Yes, it is...comes in rare newspaper sleeve, very similar to the UK sleeve...but NOT identical...instead of a red background behind the band name, it's black...and instead of Virgin's 'VS-' catalogue number just below that, it has the Wizard catalogue number. However, the prfix has been altered in translation, and instead of the correct catalogue number 'ZS 302', it's printed there as '25 302'. Not difficult to see how that happened of course. Not all copies of this 45 came with the cover...only the very first run...my guess is a few hundred at most (I had a punk/indie store at the time and I remember only getting ONE chance to buy this).
CONDITION:
COVER/VINYL: ( VG+[+] / VG++ )...typical of most newsprint of this vintage, it's become discoloured, and there's a couple of small tears on the top edge...but basically it's in very nice condition still. Record has a few very light marks only...and plays beaurtifully!
LABELS: (Side One: MINT / Side Two: MINT )...
If you have any concerns about the accuracy of my gradings, please check my feedback for the odd nice comment from some satisfied folk out there.... (and hopefully you may be able to join their ranks). Thanks for considering this item...Cheers, Jules.
