THE OIMELS

MPS 15 248 ST - 1969

GERMANY

The group was:

  • Wolfgang Dauner - piano, organ, vocal
  • Pierre Cavalli - guitar
  • Siegfried Schwab - guitar, sitar
  • Roland Wittich - drums, vocal
  • Eberhard Weber - bass, cello, vocal

It's almost impossible to characterize the music. Somebody called it Ramsay Lewis on acid. Try to imagine a mixture of pop/rock/progressive/jazz/psychedelia. But it works! And the musicians are out of this world.

Condition: The LP is without faults, bright and shiny, no scuffs or hairlines. I'd call it M- if it wasn't for my initials on the label, discreetly in red, but still. The cover is VG+. Some wear on two corners, a little creasing, otherwise excellent.

The fantastic cover is made by Dauner and Wittich of the band.
