Description
A rare copy of Workin' With The Miles Davis Quintet on the collectable English Esquire label, no. 32-108.
Released in 1960 it has Rudy Van Gelder's initials stamped in the deadwax.
Degritter cleaned, the heavyweight vinyl has retained a lovely sheen with very few marks, one or two trace hairlines and some faint swirl marks on Side B, but nothing remotely feelable. Clean labels with a few silvery spindle trails. Graded VG+ but plays close to EX.
Playback reveals a vibrant mono sound typical of Esquire pressings. The vinyl behaves as it should with no jumping or sticking & very occasional low background noise in a few isolated parts.
The outer sleeve is not in such great shape. The opening is torn to both sides with a strip missing ( see photos). There is age related corner, spine and seam wear although overall clean with a good readable rear notes section.
A lovely playable copy, reasonably priced to reflect sleeve condition.
