Description

Hans Knappertsbusch conducts Fidelio of Beethoven with the Bavarian State Opera orchestra and chorus. Soloists are Gustav Neidlinger, Murray Dickie, Sena Jurinac, Jan Peerce, Maria Stader, Deszö Ernster, \frederick Guthrie, Georg Paskuda in an inimitable Fidelio. This is an historic performance in the sense that Kna had confducted it in Munich since 1923 when he became Generalmusikdirektor there, with a gaop when Hitler banned him from conducting. Box is broken on the sides but the booklet is excellent. Records are near mint. A++++++ Paypal please
