Description

OH WOW!!  Up for auction is a real peace of radio and WWII history.

Three 16" Radio transcription discs recorded by WTIC in Hartford of the NBC line of General Wainwright - A true American war hero

It is NBC radio's coverage of the New York Reception for General Wainwright   - September 13, 1945  (on two discs)

Also

NBC radio's broadcast of General Wainwright addressing the American People from China August 31, 1945

This stuff NEVER turns up so now is your chance to get a really cool peace of radio.

CONDITION

ALL DISCS PLAY THROUGH FINE.  However, they do need a cleaning.  (Please consult the web for tips on how to clean Acetate discs)

There is minor flaking on the UNRECORDED edge on Part 3 of the September broadcast.  It DOES NOT affect the recorded portion

A BLANK side also has some flaking but there is no recording on that side so it does not matter.
