Description

Wagner's Der Ring Des Nibelungen performed by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Sir Georg Solti and starring a superb collection of opera singers on the Decca label - 22 vinyl stereo LP limited edition presentation box set. Records are all near mint condition as is the presentation box and the literature though there is some slight wear to the bottom of the insert spines. All 4 operas come with a synopsis and full libretto. There is also a bonus 3 disc set with notes comprising an introduction to the Ring Cycle.

Considered to be one of the, if not the, finest performances of Wagner's Ring Cycle ever produced. Certainly a most impressive leatherex and wood presentation box for this work.  

In a poll conducted by BBC Radio 3 this set was voted as the greatest recording of the 20th century.
