Description

This classic Decca recording of the complete Ring Cycle, together with a 3-LP explanatory guide by Deryck Cooke, is rarely available these days.  But this one is simply unique.  Each libretto was personally signed for me by the conductor of these great recordings, Georg Solti, when I met him in 1974.

If you know your Wagner and your Ring Cycle, you will know all about this recording, which includes the greats like Kirsten Flagstad and Birgit Nilsson.

This set is in fine condition.  I have owned this set since it was new.  All 22 LPs are excellent, having been played only a few times each.  The libretti are all equally fine.  The wooden box is in excellent shape.  There is just a little scuffing on the labels on the edge of the box - but it could be easily repaired I think.

This has to be a stunning and unique collector's piece.  I am only selling after all these years because I no longer use a record player! 

This item is very heavy - 10kg!  In view of its precious nature I would recommend collection if at all possible.  Otherwise it will have to be entrusted to freight or courier, at some cost!
