Description
Wagner: The Ring - compete in 18 lp records, in four separate boxes within one big box.
This is the famous, iconic La Scala live series from 1950, with a cast to die for.
Wilhelm Furtwangler conducts.
This is not a modern hi fi recording, of course, and buyers need to be aware that the 1950 sound, though well scrubbed up on this Fonit Cetra set from Italy, remains live 1950 sound from a theatre.
The set is in extremely good condition, the records as close to pristine as you will find second hand. The boxes are all very good. The libretto booklets are all A1.
The set is heavy, of course, so postage, especially outside the UK, is expensive.
This is not easy to get these days, you'll not find better on lp than this, released in Italy in 1983.
