Wailers/Bob Marley. Catch A Fire. ILPS 9241 1973 A3U/4BU 1st Press. Zippo Cover.


Here is my copy of the Wailers Catch a Fire album on Island Records from 1973. This is one of the initial 20,000 pressings with the hinged Zippo lighter cover.


The cover is in good condition with some wear to the edges and a little scuffing. The hinge rivet if fully attached and opens and closes as it should and shows no signs of failing like other sleeves on eBay.


The white paper inner sleeve is present cut down to fit the cover and marked as made in Great Britain and includes the patent number.


The record has the ILPS 9241 A3U and B4U matrix numbers with the BML 2001 A3U 4BU numbers crossed out and is on the pink rim Island label


The playing surfaces of the record are good with just a few paper scuffs and light finger marks. This has not been played in many years but I have tested it for this listing. There is light crackle between tracks, not during tracks and there is no spindle wear. It could do with being professionally cleaned if you require further enhancement.
