Waiting For The Electrician – The Firesign Theatre, vinyl 1968 Columbia SIGNED BY ALL 4 MEMBERS VG
This is the first vinyl release by the legendary Firesign Theatre, who took radio theater to new heights in the late 60s. This album is full of great examples of psychedelic humor, and some insightful satire like Temporarily Humbolt County, one of the first pieces anywhere that attempted to give some respect back to Native Americans. The title track is auditory Dada-ism, a surreal experience. It’s all performed by the four talented members of the group and all their work is best experienced on headphones. The cover is in very good condition but does show some wear at the edges and it has a catalogue sticker on the front. It was signed by all four members of the group at their 25th Anniversary show in Los Angeles. This was my broadcast copy so the vinyl has been taken care of and has no scratches but it was used A LOT on my radio show, Insanity Palace.
