Description
One of the rarest film score sets anywhere, not issued commercially, sent only to radio stations in early 1946 to promote the Walt Disney film MAKE MINE MUSIC. 3 vinyl 78s of songs from the score, recorded by a studio orchestra conducted by Charles Wolcott, vocals by Peggy Lee, Anita Boyer and Hal Derwin. You've been waiting for this one....I've been waiting to list it, but not till I could finally find a way to remove the radio station library stickers that covered the artwork. (I was about 97% successful.)
WITHOUT YOU (vocal, Anita Boyer)
JOHNNY FEDORA AND ALICE BLUE BONNET (vocal, Peggy Lee; songwriter Allie Wrubel's name misspelled as "Wruble")
TWO SILHOUETTES (vocal, Peggy Lee)
ALL THE CATS JOIN IN (Instrumental)
BLUE BAYOU (Hal Derwin, vocal)
MAKE MINE MUSIC (Hal Derwin, vocal)
Discs have some small scuffs and label marks as well as small notations for broadcast use. Generally E condition. Exceptionally rare. A somewhat scratched copy of this set sold for $78 not long ago so I have no hesitation in posting a ludicrous buy it now price.
