Description
This is the real deal- highly rare Walter Davis- Davis Cup original mono lp. Deep Groove- both sides-RVG and Ear in the deadwax.
The vinyl is a beautiful VG++. Most sellers would call it NM but I'll be conservative. Under a bright light a few miniscule hairlines can be seen but at regular light it looks flawless. Great shine, clean vinyl. I have listened to this through and it plays NM. Only between tracks can the mildest noise be heard. This is a beautiful copy of a very rare item.
The cover is not as good as the vinyl but is still at a minimum a strong VG. I tried to highlight all the flaws in the photos. As you can see, there is no ringwear. The edges and seams are crisp for the most part. The biggest flaw is in the top left corner, Im not sure what to call it- its not split but the cover art has worn to the raw cover there. The bottom left corner has similar wear but not as severe. The right corners have some wear, but less so. The top seam has a few rips to the art as well. These are not seam splits, just wear. There is also a stamp on the back cover with an address. There is also some light general wear, but this is still a nice cover for its age.

I am a collector of records and buy many lps on ebay. To be honest, I am usually disappointed with the grading by ebay sellers, even the bigger higher ranked sellers. More often than not, a NM lp shows up being VG++ at best. When I sell on ebay, I try to grade conservatively as I would like to be treated as a buyer. I really don't want to sell this beautiful record, but it doesn't belong to me. My friend needs the money and I cant afford to pay him what it is worth.
