An often overlooked and underrated part of War's legacy was their instrumentals, many of which were quite imaginative. War's members loved jazz, and they expressed that passion not because they had any illusions of trying to compete with Miles Davis or Joe Henderson (or even Charles Earland and Grover Washington, Jr.), but simply for the enjoyment of it. Jazz fusion material ranging from the unpredictable "City, Country, City" (arguably the band's best instrumental ever, and certainly their best known) and the salsa-influenced "Nappy Head" to the mellow "H2Overture" and the congenial "Smile Happy" show just how effective War's members could be without vocals. And when saxman Charles Miller and keyboardist stretch out, it's clear that as improvisers, they weren't half bad.

There is a small handling fee included in my prices (in between CHF 1 and 2 for handling, packing etc.). In case I'd overcharge an order postage will be refunded after shipping.
Your item will be shipped within 5 days after receipt of your payment. All albums are shipped in (mostly) unused cardboard mailers and I will combine postage on multiple orders (depending on weight).
I cannot be responsible for lost parcels if they are sent unregistered. Thanks for your understanding.

Delivery times
Priority: 3 to 7 working days.
Economy: up to 30 working days (depending on country).
I strongly suggest priority shipping on international orders.
My grading system
I try to grade careful and tend to grade rather conservative. A + after the category means, that the grading goes rather to the higher category, - to the lower. In case I should have messed it up, please contact me. For a specific description of my grading scale please go to my me / mich page.
Special cleaning service
All records I sell are washed on a professional record washing machine and get a new inner sleeve. Original inner sleeve will be sent with the record if it is not a common white one and worth collecting.
Payment
For international bidders I accept PayPal. For Swiss bidders bank transfer only (account information will be sent after the auction). Payment must be concluded within 10 days.
